Measels outbreak in Lancaster County

if I raised that kind of money (close to 5 mil) to actually start the process, I think there would be a certain level of outrage that we weren’t using it for something ‘more useful’ like ministry based.
Secondly, my guess is without a corporate sponsor, it would be dead after submitting the fees. Having the money for the fees does not guarantee the FDA would approve your request. It would not be in the US’s best interest to approve a Japanese vaccine that at least some other people who may have otherwise gotten standard MMR would probably want to switch to also and lose money from American pharmaceutical companies.
Finally, if I was going to do something like this, I would probably have someone experienced in the process do it, and not a retired medical worker. Especially someone who is adversarial to the practice.

Can you identify what is false and explain your reasoning?AnthonyMartin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2026 12:01 pm There is also misleading and false information in Commissioner Parson’s statement. The politics of election year seems to have he and all others involved willing to fabricate stories for their own benefit.

No. I’m not at liberty to discuss. I would just recommend you take any politicians claims with a grain of salt.Soloist wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2026 12:10 pmCan you identify what is false and explain your reasoning?AnthonyMartin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2026 12:01 pm There is also misleading and false information in Commissioner Parson’s statement. Yeah, that doesn’t actually give any of the detailed information. Normally, the CDC publishes at least an age range. It also doesn’t address any of the claims from the coroner.

The PA Dept of Health has posted some clarifying information to their Facebook page. I don’t know how to share that here but feel free to take a look.

These numbers make sense. They are also from the department of health.AnthonyMartin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2026 12:24 pmHere is some reliable information on the PA measles outbreak if your interested in following.Soloist wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2026 12:10 pmCan you identify what is false and explain your reasoning?AnthonyMartin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2026 12:01 pm There is also misleading and false information in Commissioner Parson’s statement. You would need expertise that either a large corporation or professional society could bring together. The FDA typically does not operate to protect the profits of American companies. And, no, I would not be your man, I have neither the expertise nor the motivation.Soloist wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2026 12:05 pm https://www.fda.gov/industry/fda-user- ... mendments?

You also do not need a corporate sponsor, as you call it. F-18 FDG was approved without one. If you have the money and the expertise, game on.
