I suppose it would still be financially better off for Philly if they'd ship the white people to SF too. Then Philly wouldn't need to shell out $18,000. Is it callous to point that out? I don't feel callous, and no one is seriously trying to make either happen. Its simply casually pointing out the obvious. Come to think of it, knowing Californias reputation for handing people money, maybe the white person would indeed be better off there than in Philly.

There seems to be some confusion as to what this refers to. And the answer is that it’s a famous romance novel. With a dark twist:ohio jones wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 8:31 amPerhaps I posted too Swiftly, but it's intended as a Modest Proposal. Also sort of wondering if SF has thought through what might happen if there's an influx.
Edit: figured out how you post tweets (just paste the url).

Well sure. The SF proposal has about as much chance of happening as Philly saving money by sending people to SF.Ken wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 5:36 pmThere is no SF money and never will be. San Francisco does need more Black people. They seem to be running out. The current demographics of San Francisco are:RZehr wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 7:36 pmWell sure. White: 44.9%
Asian: 34.3%
Black: 5.1%
Multiracial: 7.2%
And in terms of ethnicity it is 15% Hispanic and 85% non-Hispanic.
That is not an electorate that is going to support massive reparation payments to Blacks.
As Josh points out, the fathers should also be involved in their kids lives. You think the PA taxpayers will pay to send the fathers and children to San Francisco too?

Firstly, the title of this thread is sexist in speaking of "pregnant women" rather than the more inclusive "pregnant people".
And secondly, I hereby identify as a pregnant black person who is location-fluid, identifying as a resident of both Philadelphia and San Francisco, and I expect to be compensated accordingly.
I mean how can anyone discuss subjects like this seriously?

i haven’t read much of this topic yet .. but the article uses the words, “pregnant residents.”Franklin wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 10:49 pm Firstly, the title of this thread is sexist in speaking of "pregnant women" rather than the more inclusive "pregnant people".

presumably, the purpose is to cover pregnant legal/illegal citizens, children, teens, adult biological women, delusionals.
where gov rewards are offered, abuse of the system will follow.
as for pirating money from the military for this purpose goes, that did not work well for “defund the police.”
turns out, earthly governments need police.
also, if taxpayer money is removed from intended purpose, it should be returned to taxpayers post-haste, not shuffled around as if the U.S. Public Treasury is some sort of big petty cash drawer for lib fantasies/play time.
IF there is serious interest in reestablishing traditional homes with fathers present+active, perhaps funds should be offered to fathers who can prove they are present+active, with bonus amounts going to those gainfully and legally employed.
this might begin to rectify some damage done by previous policies that drove husbands+fathers away from their families.

This might be pertinent to this topic:
The Officer Tatum / Black Woman GOES OFF ON Black Culture for DESTROYING Black Women / -10min
She speaks in anguish.
i wonder if she’s aware of what THOMAS SOWELL discusses, that, prior to 1960’s political policies, black communities led in numbers of traditional intact marriages/families?

There’s a lot to criticise when it comes to the “civil rights” movement.
One of the outcomes of it (that has nothing to do with race) was the destruction of stable families and the introduction of no fault divorce.
That’s not a good thing, yet it comes directly from the civil rights movement.

How does one best determine the correct ratio of ethnicities an area ought to have? Does that ideal ratio fluctuate depending on the reparations? Well, it sounded like you were saying that it’s not the PA taxpayers paying at all, but rather non-profit foundations.
I expect Philly to be willing to fund, and send, the fathers and children, right after they do the mothers. Which I expect to not begin before SF starts paying $5,000,000 to each black person. In which case, I’d would expect to see whole families moving so quickly to SF on their own, or with the help of investors, that the bureaucracy of Philly would be too slow to actually send anyone at all.

Re: Philadelphia paying women to get pregnant have babies
I'm just joking around. But Philadelphia is 38% Black. And if San Francisco values its diversity it seems they need to recruit more Blacks. San Francisco appears to be the whitest major city in the country. Portland is 6.3% Black and Seattle is 6.8% Black. The national average is about 12% which is where San Francisco was in the 1970s and 1980s. For a liberal city they sure seem to have made it inhospitable to live there if you are Black. Numbers don't lie.RZehr wrote: ↑Sat Mar 25, 2023 1:47 amHow does one best determine the correct ratio of ethnicities an area ought to have? I think any sort of cash reparations are a political non-starter anywhere in the country. At least public reparations. I also don't think cash benefit programs are ever going to be widespread. It would make more sense to do things like invest in public preschools and public health care than just give people cash and keep them dependent.

It might be worth noting the title of this thread is misleading, the proposal is to select participants who are already pregnant.
