you remind of my childhood, my older brother used this kind of humor ..
example, “hey, did i say you were pretty?!” - i was shocked and flattered, never expecting a kind word from my older sibs.
once hooked and thanking him, he added, “pretty ugly.” :evil: it was evil, but we all laughed, too.
he passed in 1996. still miss him. and his silliness.

Sent this to some Texan friends of ours. They said that it is "right on the money" meaning, that it is more truth than satire.
