Thanks for all those who send cards. They were very kind and comforting. Mike I loved the picture of your family. I have it over my desk now. I love seeing all the kids.

Yesterday, I was able to sit at church for about 15 minutes, first time in two months I could sit, then I interrupted the message and shared my own.

In all honesty, I was slated to fill the pulpit but because of the funeral, I lost track of time and someone was filling in for me. So we tag teamed.

I will share the core of my message after work today. Off to strain my back some more.

I'm glad your back is getting better bit by bit Robert.
Today I finished up the ham smoking for friends and neighbors. That will give me a chance to get the smoke out of my hair before Easter service. When I first started smoking meats my hair still smelled like smoke when I went to church. Friends told me I was making them hungry before the preacher finished his sermon. So now I make sure I can wash my hair 3 times before Sunday rolls around to make sure I don't tempt anyone.

In Bible Study last night we talked about being Ambassadors for Christ sharing His righteousness through reconciliation.

I did have to clarify there is one thing that does point to a person's righteousness and that he is maybe one step closer than others. Suspenders. I wear a pair a at work every day and am known for it.

He is Risen indeed!

Christ the Lord is risen from the dead!

This historical fact makes all the difference in how we live. This proves that death has been defeated. We have the promise of being resurrected ourselves.

Therefore, we need have no fear of death or anything else that people can do to us. Criticism, condemnation, or ridicule cannot hurt us. Poverty and oppression will not hurt us. We are free to live as Christ taught us, loving our neighbor as ourselves, loving our enemy, blessing those who persecute us, giving to those in need freely, and speaking out against evil.

I really appreciated this. I was home with 2 sick kids and the audio stream to church cut out. I ended up watching this with them along with a few other things.
