I have turn signals on my car. I respect Amish who don’t want to buy and install every latest blinking flashing LED on their buggies without their church discerning and approving it first.

There's a slippery slope there too; once the church approves something, the majority will rush to test the new boundaries. The Amish community near where I grew up used to have open, topless buggies with SMV triangles and one or two kerosene lanterns at night. Now they have enclosed carriages decorated with multicolored lights; get a few of them together and it starts to look like Times Square. An improvement in safety but not in style.
