i shoveled as much as i could. couldn’t get to the mailbox on the road.
hoping my neighbor with his snow plow will get here - tomorrow? more snow coming.

.. County Highway Department will cease plow operations from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday due to the forecasted high winds and white out conditions.

Officials said based on the information that they have received from the National Weather Service, winds will continue to gust at 35 MPH to 40 MPH on Thursday.

According to officials, road conditions will not improve until Friday when the winds are forecasted to be in the 10 to 15 MPH range.

Officials advise people to only travel if absolutely necessary.

hmm. hmm. hope the power stays on.
i’m not convinced anyone can go anywhere just now. even if emergency.

i was curious to see if anyone got by today. including the mailman.
it was trash day. i decided not to roll the bin down there Tues night. that was for the best.
i don’t always make the wrong decision.

Today was bad enough. The wind is the worst. Thursday is supposed to be windy. Wind makes everything worse.
Including power failures.

Neighbors with plow+shovels were in my driveway earlier.
The power has stayed ON.
Today’s weather forecast is not as dire as it sounded yesterday.
i may try to drive tomorrow, or Saturday .. i want to allow others to “get plowed” too.

o.my. this was a big one. esp because, so far, we were having a “Tennessee” winter.
it was great.

we can have snows/crippling freezing rain in April.

my son in Michigan is laughing. they didn’t get too much this time.

Below zero F ahead, but the power is on. So far, so good.

Today ..
learned my fav uncle passed. 96. he will be missed. good man.
i have one living uncle. they were close. he will take it hard. he’s the one remaining of 9 siblings.

power is on, but my furnace went out. saturday night service call. $$$$
the weather wasn’t nearly as bad as earlier this week, but plenty cold.
repairman got here within a couple of hours. that was fortunate. new ignitor, he had it in his truck.
i hope he gets home ok. country roads are snowy-icy.
