I'm not sure gofundme would work in this case - he may not be around anymore. To my eyes, graphically and looking at hats, hairstyles, clothing, etc, that tik tok video of the man with the destroyed truck looks quite dated to me (perhaps 30-40 years old). Maybe I'm wrong. Nevertheless...it is a moving video, and certainly applicable to the moment.

More verifyably recent, here is a powerful appeal from Terrence Floyd, Georges' brother, that shows amazing strength and compassion in the midst of his own grief:

The resolution looks like good old video to me rather than digital.

i think that was a planned killing, that it was not a spur of the moment police brutality incident.
i could only watch the video once. how can ANYONE be so cold blooded?

i think we are all being played. same as we were w covid. get rid of the media telling us what we are supposed to think and do, and we will all be much better off.
I didn't like this post but it spurred me to watch the footage of Floyd being murdered for the first time last night...
When 4 police officers don't seem to make a good attempt to get someone in the cop car, they for some reason pin him while he is in handcuffs on the street side avoiding killing him on the side walk (further away from people), when three men crush that man under their weight so he can't breath while the fourth stops bystanders from getting close or intervening, they get an ambulance coming before he is killed but know the only thing that would stop the requirement of an ambulance would be to get off of him, when the officer on his neck looks like he is enjoying it and pulls out his mace threatening bystanders with it while the man is so out of breath and he is nearly dead anyway, when no one is seen even trying to revive the man when he goes unconscious... I too am convinced this was planned or at least premediated in some way.

One of my friends was shot and killed by a police officer last year about 15 minutes from our home. His actions warranted being shot at and the police officer still made every attempt to preform first aid according to all the reports.

I believe if George Floyd's killing was not premediated murder that at least someone would have tried to resuscitate Floyd! Why did no one? To me the only answer that makes sense is that some people wanted him dead and took advantage when they had the chance.

After watching I got little sleep last night...

This was written on a post on Instagram. Just changing the emphasis makes all the difference.

You keep saying, "It's horrible that an innocent black man was killed but destroying property has to stop.

Try saying, "It's horrible that property is being destroyed, but killing innocent black men has to stop."

You're prioritizing the wrong part.

The second sentence seems to condone destruction of property, if it helps in the preventing the killing of innocent black men.

This story is horrific. The violent protestors set fire to a house with people inside, including a child, then blocked the fire company/rescuers from rescue efforts.

Grace- how does the 2nd sentence
The second sentence seems to condone destruction of property, if it helps in the preventing the killing of innocent black men.
seem to condone the destruction of property but the first sentence doesn't seem to condone the killing of black men? The emphasis has changed from saying destruction of property needs to stop to killing of innocent black men should stop? It says destruction of property is horrible but killing needs to stop.
We need to look at the killing as worse than destruction of property. Neither is good, both are horrible but taking lives is still worse than destruction of property. I am not saying that property destruction is ok, I'm not saying it should happen, I'm not condoning it, I'm just saying we have put the emphasis on the wrong one.
