IMO it be helpful to discuss evidence if links to the article, data-set, etc are provided so that one may read it and interpret it for themselves.PeterG wrote:Those are good questions that I don't really have answers to. In a way I don't think it really matters as long as the discussion is confined to assertions of evidence (regardless of whether or not they're accepted) instead of...other things.
I agree. I think I try to do this, and will continue to do so. I'll try to remind you if I see you quote statistics or link to charts without providing this information, because I feel the same way.MaxPC wrote:IMO it be helpful to discuss evidence if links to the article, data-set, etc are provided so that one may read it and interpret it for themselves.
Charts ad nauseam may become tiresome. Conversely, providing the link to the researcher's interpretation of those charts would prove more helpful to discussion.

interesting. i believe this was published in 1934. 710 pages? i hope to be able to enlarge enough to read ..Franklin wrote:There is a 100% correlation between cultural development and female premarital chastity. The evidence for this was compiled by an Oxford anthropologist here:

He studied all known isolated tribes and found this correlation to be perfect. Then he studied history and found that in all rising cultures in history, female premarital chastity was enforced, and that in all decaying cultures in history, female premarital chastity was not enforced.
