I have pretty dim view of their credibility. The road is long and paved with lies and obfuscation at every turn. (Carter maybe aside).

From My Lai, to Watergate, to Iran-Contra, to Francis Gary Powers, to Black Kettle, to the Hutterite boys, to Monica, to election fibs. Seemingly, whenever convenient, the lies and manipulation starts.

It seems like honesty only prevails once there is no other recourse, ie JFK (definitely not an honest man) and Bay of Pigs.

It does seem pretty low but there is likely room to go even lower.
Not true. I’ve heard the speeches of many world leaders and comments praising the present administration. You have to watch the media outlets that show these.
Please list the countries praising the current admin and to be on topic, the ones praising it for its war with Iran. I'm afraid I can't believe your claim unless you provide some proof of "many world leaders"... (Or based on who those leaders are - their character/actions - why should I base my opinion and moral thinking on what they think?).

I didn’t kitchen down, but I’ve heard many leaders praise him and I’ve heard some also say he’s going what needed to be done. So if you are really interested in hearing all of the truth, you need to write watch the news outlets. Deb will show it not the ones that hide it. It’s not up to me to do your homework for you.

This is why your opinion is questioned. You make grand sweeping statements but never offer support aside from we need to watch the news.

And for those who make grand sweeping negative statements that are false your credibility is in question also because you lack the proof of what I share claiming I’m lying or implying I’m lying when instead you just don’t hear it yourselves. So really it’s a pot calling the kettle black.

I certainly can go through and cite where you refuse to source by name or article but I didn’t see a point. Would you like me to?

I also never called you a liar and still don’t

I don’t sit here while watching FOX News with a pen in hand in case I need to prove a point on a Mennonite Discussion forum. At the same time, many of you who don’t see these meetings with world leaders or hear their praises in various situations, will post how badly we are viewed in the world’s eyes. It’s futile to argue with people who intentionally limit their information sources but then claim to be “in the know” about certain political opinions yet I can tell they’re missing out on information I view, not to prove to anyone hear anything, I watch it while I am busy doing things at my coffee table, and I personally take note in general because I do vote. It is important for me to not vote by the toss of a coin but to gather as much information as I can about those I vote for. It’s really as simple as that just be careful when you slander people without having all the facts. You may not be calling me a liar, but you’re implying that I’m exaggerating when I’m merely making a statement both my husband and I have heard many times. Many leaders say great things about this administration President Trump and some of his staff I’m not making this up think what you want.

Do you watch more than Fox News? Or do you limit your information to people and groups that you think tell the truth, and ignore those who you think lie?

If I say, many world leaders are claiming president Trump plays golf, and you say “who is actually saying that”
And I say “well, if you watch the news, you’d know”
That comes across as fairly dismissive and also that I don’t actually know who said it.

You also make assumptions that because we don’t watch TV we’re ignorant of what goes on.

When someone claims that leaders around the world are praising Trump, it’s completely reasonable to ask, which leaders are doing this? And it’s also reasonable to be skeptical of that claim when there isn’t an answer to this very basic question.

If you don’t watch tv you do miss a lot where you can watch actual conferences, roundtables, news conferences, meetings, and personal interviews. Doesn’t mean you’re ignorant people it means you’re just not seeing all that you can see that might have something to do with why you can paint with a broad brush negatively..

I have watched some other news outlets in the past and they make me cringe at times. Obviously a lot is coming out now about how much was covered up for four years by the Biden administration by Democrats and social media. Why should I watch news outlets that you cannot trust?
