As you wish.
I was going to wait a bit longer, but since you started the countdown, the fire has been lit.
Wife: Only OJ would be precise enough to wake up that early for this.

It wasn't THAT early. I did some quick math in my head and was waiting at 6:00 a.m. Either my math was bad or the post was delayed. As soon as I saw John's countdown I was looking forward to this great mystery being solved. Alas, I was disappointed. Nothing new was learned. At least not yet. I guess some mysteries are never solved.

Wife: T minus can be delayed. L minus cannot. Maybe Ground Control had to delay it for coffee to be finished percolating.

I guess time zones make a difference.

I had the post in the hopper at 6 and agonized over the wording for a little while. It was not an easy one. I do appreciate the audience anticipation, though.

sojourner wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2026 12:23 pm Well, since I do like a good mystery, let me pile on.

I don’t really have a reason to doubt this article as truth.
While the OP has in the past shown that he’s a bit forgetful (Such as starting multiple threads with similar content only a few months apart) he’s talked quite a bit about smoking.
If someone is spinning tales, it’s really hard to keep things straight especially if you’re older and forgetful to begin with.
Even tho I believe he feigns ignorance in regards to MaxPC, I don’t think that his posts are primarily fiction. IMO he’s interested in conversation but not interested in exposing the link between himself and MaxPC. Perhaps because Max wanted it that way.
Hi sojourner (sorry don't know you're real name). Piling on. Is that a Mennonite thing?
Yep I forget I already started a thread on a topic once. Maybe twice. But that's because posts and topics whizz by so fast on this forum it's sometimes hard for me to keep up. Then there's those who deliberately sidetrack a thread. Whatever.
Nope, don't know Max at all. Don't know why that fiction persists. Maybe it's a part of that Mennonite game. Again Whatever.
If you have any questions about smoking meats or cheeses I can chip in on that.
Have a gooder.
Hi John or whatever your real name is.
I'm a busy man thus my delayed reply.
I'm unsure why you'd want to credit Menno's with a popular modern day idiom. Although I guess it's a method of deflecting.
I sure don't mind if you start multiple threads about the same thing or your tendencies to be forgetful. I was merely pointing out similarities between you and Max. I've noticed some other similarities as well.
Notably, you mostly ignoring past veiled references to the connection between you and Max.
Any other person would wonder why he is thought to be someone else all together. However, you are content to basically say,"Nothing to see here, don't know him, carry on". Or simply ignore it. EXACTLY how Max would respond when being called out with his glaring inconsistencies.
Anyways, I have always taken your posts at face value. If it weren't for this "hard evidence" I wouldn't think anything unusual about your posts.
And I'm not tech savvy enough to know if this "hard evidence" really does implicate you or not. However, most here seem to think it does.
Max certainly bent the truth a long ways, so if you are the same person; it's reasonable to think you'd do the same.
The "fiction" persists because you have never fully addressed it. It would really be quite simple to make it all go away. This isn't rocket science. Either you enjoy the soap opera, or you don't want the truth revealed. Nobody is going to buy "Nothing to see here."
You've spoken a few times of Mennonite games. 2 games that were popular when I was a youth were v-ball and rook. Other games, on these threads, might not be games, but life. Not even being played only or mostly by Mennonites. Many folks are represented here from different walks of life. In the Menno world there is a very broad spectrum where only a fraction of which is represented here.
I really know nothing about smoking meats or cheeses. I do tend to use my fire pit for grilling purposes in the summer.
Well, that concludes this evenings soap opera.
P.S. My former neighbor moved to NC a couple of years ago. Close to the coast. I keep thinking of going down there visit him. Maybe work will slow this fall...
Thanks for answering Sojourner. I can see where some confusion’s going on but not all of it. I knew Robert and he had all my details. I don’t respond to what you’re calling veiled references because I don’t know what they’re about. Like we say here you don’t stick your foot into unknown waters. You listen and you ask if it seems important to what you’re doing. Not knowing Max I only had the archives to look at but I still can’t say I knew him. He didn’t write like my people do. All I can offer is what my high tech buddy wrote about IPs and such.
The NC coast is nice just be careful in hurricane season. It’s pretty touristy too.

The first two hams were picked up. That whole leg took a bit of work. I hacksawed off the hock to get that thing in the smoker. The folks use smoked ham hocks to make their beans.
Next ham is being dropped off this morning in about 15 minutes.

Actually I think that ham got dropped off about 53 minutes before you posted this.
Or was that the "whole leg"?

I would really appreciate it if you left Robert out of this and didn't use his passing as an excuse to claim that he somehow had special information about you that proves your claims but that nobody else has.
