I brought this up before in the prayer request thread but can't find it right now.
Our pastor at church, who also serves as the chaplain at my employment, has been battling cancer the past few years. They thought it was under control until mid-2024 it spread to his liver. Started to treat that. Then he got the flu bug, so had to stop treatment Then he got an infection. Still couldn't do chemo. Was at a hospital in Philadelphia, a week ago they transferred him to a hospital in Lancaster County to be close to his community. Just never gpt better.
Just got word they transferred him to hospice today.
This man was not only a pastor to me, but a good friend. We shared many of the same struggles. Mental health, family issues, etc. He held my hand through a many of life trials.
He officiated my daughter's wedding a few years ago.
Not handing this well right now.
So I'm a bit shaky here... in a bad way...

We will pray for you , him, his family, so hard to witness him going through this cancer journey to be sure and to consider life without his presence here- one day you will rejoice in a reunion we can only imagine on this side.

It's tough when someone who's been there for you is going through something like this.
