I would like an herb garden with enough space to cover the basics. We have an herb garden, but in winter, we don't get much out of it, and some things like lavender keep dying back.
Does anyone have experience with herb gardens inside? We have a sun porch that faces the sun during the day. I have only done outdoor herb gardens so far.
Indoor Herb Garden?

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

I've been interested in this too and would appreciate advice on how to get started.

Re: Indoor Herb Garden?
You have to be selective about which herbs you try to grow year round.
In my experience dry Mediterranean perennial type herbs do the best. So, for example, Sage, Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme. I have had good results growing those year round. They don't need much water or attention, just sunlight. Chives are pretty easy to keep growing year-round too.
Much more difficult to cultivate green annual herbs like cilantro and basil. They are just a lot more fragile.
