Imagine President Harris appointing George Soros and Oprah Winfrey to take an ax to programs they don't like, even if those programs were set in place by the elected representatives from Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

I don't think it was any sort of secret prior to the election that Trump would do things like appoint Elon Musk to some sort of influential post. So one could argue that what Trump is doing represents the will of the people.
