Compared to the $1.4 billion per year to run the White House under President Obama....Ken wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 5:39 pmI doubt it. Monarchs don't only cost the public on the day they die, they do it every single other day too. The total annual cost of the British monarchy is estimated at $431 million dollars and that is just for the people and doesn't even include things like the cost of renovating Buckingham Palace and other monarchial properties which costs hundreds of millions more. https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2023/ ... omplicated

Flying Michelle Obama’s entire kitchen in an LD3 to Hawaii every time she goes on vacation isn’t cheap.

Well, if you are going to compare the whole executive branch then you'd have to add in the costs of the UK executive branch so Prime Minister and all the executive branch cabinet and agencies. Since they are more the equivalent to the White House.ken_sylvania wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 6:32 pmCompared to the $1.4 billion per year to run the White House under President Obama....Ken wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 5:39 pmI doubt it. Re: The Queen is dead
… the US executive branch spends a lot more than $1.4 billion. He said the “White House”, not the entire executive branch.
