Definitely. With clarity, but not with the kind of hostility and the kind of language that some people use here.
This may be worth a Bible study.

At least try to be accurate. It actually one volume in a running series of "Smart Girl" guides from American Girl that is now up to 19 different volumes. And they are targeted at middle school girls ages 10 and up. Look it up for yourself: https://www.americangirl.com/collection ... -year-olds Even really really smart 3-year old's aren't reading paragraph books written at a middle school level. They are getting "Goodnight Moon" and "Green Eggs and Ham" read to them.nett wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 6:39 pmso to sum up your defense: the book doesn't say what it says.Ken wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 5:57 pm And seriously, no one is offering puberty blockers to 3 year olds without their parent's knowledge. It would be easier to take your arguments more seriously if you didn't always include such hysterical nonsense. If you have to continually embellish your arguments with factually incorrect hysteria then they probably aren't very good arguments.
The book is targeted to 3-12 year-olds, and provides a list of resources in case the children "don't have an adult they can trust". It's not hysteria. The agenda is allow children to transition without the intervention of their parents.
20 years ago, I'm sure you would've been telling the Christian right to stop including hysterical nonsense about homosexuals trying to get married too.
So you are saying that it makes a difference to either the courts or God if a person attacks and beats someone up while drunk versus if they do it while sober?
What are you really advocating for, and what language do you have such a problem with? I could post a whole wall of bible verses that are extremely hostile to sin and those who promote it, but I don't think that would really help.
It is rich, that you from your hetero-normative, stereotypically white, perfect family ivory tower can lecture us all about how harmless transgender grooming is.
If you actually paid attention to what kids these days are absorbing it is about 99.9% hypersexualized heterosexual messaging. On TV, in the toy aisle, online, in the mall, in advertising, literally everywhere. And maybe 0.1% is in the other direction. If even that. Which is illustrated by the fact that we are talking about 1 page out of perhaps 2000 pages of material in a 19-book American Girl series. For example, the biggest toy manufacturer is Mattel. Why don't you go to their web site. They have nearly 1,000 different dolls and doll sets listed. Take a look through them all and tell us the percentage that are LGBT or not gender-normative. Here you go have fun: https://shop.mattel.com/collections/dolls-dollhousesnett wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 7:13 pmIt is rich, that you from your hetero-normative, stereotypically white, perfect family ivory tower can lecture us all about how harmless transgender grooming is.
I'm not gonna lie, I really didn't think you would defend normalizing puberty blockers. You're way more out in left field on this than I thought you were.
I haven’t heard loud rejections from anyone. The Nationwide church I have deep respect for is very compassionate with the lady joining who’s mother claims to be a man now. They have discussed how to counsel this individual if they ever are receptive to the truth. While most children do not conform to a perfect picture of society male/female many females dealing with puberty struggle with those thoughts especially in regard to body image and what media portrays about them. Males going into puberty also have society telling them all the evils of being a male, particularly if they are white. On top of this society is also applauding uniqueness and bucking trends resulting in them expressing loneliness and depression into gender expression. Self esteem issues are ever present as well.nett wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 6:45 pm So far, loudly rejecting these narratives is working in plain communities quite well. Transgenderism is non-existent, which makes sense, because gender disorders in children resolve themselves by age 18 in something like 99% of cases unless there are very strong pro-transition influences in the child's life.
Go have some real discussions with those who have detransitioned and ask them their motives to transition in the first place… you may be surprised.Ken wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 7:35 pm
We can have a conversation about the messaging that our kids are getting in the media, online, in advertising and so forth. And frankly it isn't good. And it is of great concern to a lot of parents. It is a tidal wave of sexualized imagery and content, much of it hypersexualized. But "transgender grooming" it is not. It is very much the opposite. The fact that you have to look so long and hard to even find snippets of material you can label as such pretty much proves the point.
Plain people tend not to be loud about anything but they are certain not having a discussion about how best to help children transition. It's not even permitted as a discussion. I would call that a pretty clear rejection.
This is true, but when you're dealing with a honest and up front people. When you're dealing with a subversive evil people, their agenda, and the entirety of their influence, and participation has to be explicitly rejected. Heavy-handedness is better than erring on the side of compassion.Soloist wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 7:41 pm Civil disagreement tends to speak louder then bold harsh words in terms of effective conversion of thought. Certainly there is time for strong words and several on here would have been expelled from any number of conservative churches for supporting and arguing for lgbtq issues. I think though it is wiser to not be expelled as well for our own tongue.
It's all part of the same agenda to twist sexuality. Except you're wrong about Disney. Disney has openly admitted a pretty radical push of LGBT characters in child and adult programming.Ken wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 7:35 pmIf you actually paid attention to what kids these days are absorbing it is about 99.9% hypersexualized heterosexual messaging. Or go to the Disney Channel and tell us what percentage of the characters in their cartoons or live action shows are LGBT versus ordinary feminine/masculine or extreme versions of such like all the Disney Princess shows. I don't know if this link will work but here you go. Here is their kid series page: https://www.disneyplus.com/series/6bda2 ... e2c80aa6fe and here is their kid's movie page: https://www.disneyplus.com/movies/3314d ... 749e264dd0
Or go to the mall and peruse Aeropostale or H&M or any other popular clothing store for teens and tell us what kind of sexuality they are promoting. Trust me, the much bigger problem is steering your teen away from dresses like these https://www.aeropostale.com/floral-scoo ... 49142.html than getting groomed in the mall to be LGBT.
That is the the culture that our kids are actually swimming in.
