Yes. Well, at least who when they were being arrested remained calm, peaceful and cooperative and were subsequently roughed up. Also members of the press, which are to have freedom in these places, were brutalized.

Re: Poll: Freedom Convoy and Related Protests
Also, Ernie, there are protesters there who have done nothing illegal. There are many, many people who are there that have not so much as parked a car illegally. They are being/have been arrested for mischief, loaded into police vehicles and driven 15-20 minutes from the scene and released without being charged. Why do you think the Police might be doing this?

An institution which Trudeau publicly bragged doesn't give him a free pass. He found that idea insulting. Rather he wanted the record to be clear that he bought them off to the tune of 600M. No, I did not make that up.
Ernie,
It’s not that “everything” published is wrong. But, “most-everything” is colored, even if subtly.
The subtle jabs are most annoying, being insidious, forcing a person to be on alert, rather than reading with respect+trust.
(For myself) i like to think people have taken the time to read/listen before judging/speculating. So, read any source, AND read/listen to opposing opinions - especially FIRST PERSON PRINCIPALS, who are often drowned out by noise/chatter.
Here is a new thread to reference PRINCIPAL voices of the truck convoy answering questions, explaining goals:

Over years, you and others IN Canada have shared your views on Canada’s “legacy” media, the convoy is not an exception.
The messages have not been aggressive, but they have been consistent. (“legacy” is a new word for me, referencing media and politicians.) i think i get the intended meaning.
Here is a more dominant voice regarding “science” and unreliable/biased reporting:
i’m not fond of his aggressive style, i find him annoying. but, he’s not wrong.
Is he in Quebec? i’m not sure. In this video, he seems to be. (Yes. He says Montreal.)

They might not have enough jail space.Signtist wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 4:15 pm Also, Ernie, there are protesters there who have done nothing illegal. From what I have been able to learn so far, there are designated places to protest and illegal places to protest, and streets are not one of those places, unless you are simply walking down the street or crossing a street and even then, people need a permit from what I can tell. Camping out in the street and having a carnival is definitely not legal unless you have a permit.
According to Conservative MP Leslyn Lewis in her address to Parliament on Friday,
"It does not matter if you have opposed the protests, or if you have supported the Freedom Convoy — if you are watching what is going on, one thing should be painfully clear: there is not a single action being taken today by the police that could not have been done previous to the implementation of the Emergencies Act."
Protesting in a street, especially after being told over and over by police that you are protesting at an illegal place, should have been sufficient clues to the protestors.
But as these Velloso discovered, the protestors seem to have convinced each other that they were not doing anything illegal. They definitely didn't believe the police, or trust anything coming from the government.
Social media and government overreach, combined with postmodernism, makes an easy platform for people to create their own "authorities" - ones who are not authorized by the government they don't like.Sometimes protesters do break laws in the course of their actions.
"They have some sense that there are laws, that they may try to disturb a bit, but they know they're breaking the law," said Joao Velloso, associate professor at the University of Ottawa's faculty of law. "When an Indigenous group is blockading a train from passing, they're going to tell you that they're breaking the law to achieve a certain thing."
Velloso spent several days in the streets of Ottawa during the truck blockade, speaking to the people who were part of it.
"Most of these guys downtown, they don't believe they are breaking the law," he said.
I think this is key to understanding the Freedom Fighter's "last stand".

Re: Poll: Freedom Convoy and Related Protests
We are supposed to believe that most Canadians oppose this protest and support the police clearing them out.
We are also supposed to believe that the vast majority of Canadian truckers oppose the protest.
Could someone kindly explain, then, why ALL of the heavy towing companies under contract with Ottawa refused to come in and tow trucks, because " the heavy truck industry is such a large part of their livelihoods and they don’t want to damage that part of their businesses."
One would think any towing company willing to work with the city would see their reputation rise among those opposed to the protest....
