Who knows. Ironically, my MIL wanted her husband to be clean shaven

Re: To shave or not to shave (women's legs)
I'm not sure, but I know in more conservative circles like where I run, you might see the lower part of a woman's leg (we can have mid-calf like dresses) but because of sleeve length requirements, you wouldn't see a woman's armpit.... so maybe a moot point for some of us
Interestingly, in more worldly circles (where I came from) there is a big push for women to be "more natural" and not shave at all... I know I am culturally programmed to think of body hair as being unfeminine, but I couldn't help but be a bit put off when my friends would have small shrubs poking out beneath their tank tops....

Re: To shave or not to shave (women's legs)
From what I've "observed", saved legs is basically an American thing. (I would imagine that the worst would be stubble, the same thing I've heard from women in regards to beards on men.) I've heard of men shaving their legs as well, but that's just too weird.

I would think that when a woman gets saved, all of her body is saved too.
(Couldn't resist, Neto.)

Your beard thread turned into discussing women shaving their legs, I guess it is only fair this thread turns into a discussion of beards.steve-in-kville wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 12:38 pm Who knows. Ironically, my MIL wanted her husband to be clean shaven![]()

This is a spin-off of the current beard thread. Keep it light. Don't make it weirder than I already did![]()

yep. that’s pretty weird. on this forum, of mostly men, i suggest just let them do it or not themselves.
unless ya’ll have some other agreement. i won’t ask, and i won’t tell.

Men discussing women shaving their legs is like, if women discussed men shaving their chests. You are right, a bit weird. But I don't fault Steve for starting the thread as it adds some lightheartedness to the forum.temporal1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 6:16 pmsteve:

We were at an event once with many people attending, being from very conservative Mennonite settings. The one woman had very blonde hair, and also wore thick black hosiery. She had an over abundance of leg hair, which I am sure never saw a razor. The blonde leg hair stuck out through the black hosiery and it sure looked strange.

I suppose an equally fair question is if its acceptable for a man to do the same. If you are fine with a woman having hairy legs, are you fine with the opposite?
Generally speaking I only know of swimmers and trans doing it.
