Fauci E-mails and Honesty

Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

In light of the Fauci e-mails, do you trust him?

You can always scroll by threads you find triggering. No one is forcing you to take the poll or even comment.

You do so because you feel you have something to say. And so do the others.
Yes, I do. And what I have to say is this: if you make an accusation in public, the honorable thing to do is to stay on the subject, be open to correction, weigh facts on that topic as they come in, and apologize if the evidence does not seem to make your point. As in this thread.
KirkDaniel wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 11:07 pmThe kingdom of God is not divorced from the world in which it exists. The government has stretched it's bony fingers to disrupt one of the most sacred institutions of the church: the public gathering. It has bolstered its case for doing so through deceit.

It isn't a partisan issue at all. It is absolutely and fundamentally the purview of the church to cry foul.
I agree that gathering for church is a real issue, which I have discussed in other threads. But I don't think that topic means that Fauci is guilty of the claims made in the first few posts of this thread. And FWIW, Fauci did not pass any laws, he is an advisor with no legislative or executive authority.

Page 11. Evidence that the claims in about his emails are true, or an acknowledgement that you don't have that evidence? Anyone?

Other then his deception involving masks which he admitted to why he initially told people not to, I haven't seen this "smoking gun" that people are convinced is there. There is quite a bit of emails though and I honestly don't care that much to keep digging.

The concern now is that by now Wuhan has had time to destroy evidence that would prove that this originated in the lab and was a leak. We didn't originally know that Fauci was responsible for us funding the kind of experiments and research at Wuhan that so much of our money was doing and the potential risk and danger of that type of work in a communist country. I don't see how difficult it is to see the legitimate concern of all this and it will take time so boot wants immediate proof like he did during the fraudulent election claims (that are still under investigation) and because people can't give him that overnight he wants to dismiss it completely, These things take time and you just have to wait it out you can watch/read the same information everybody else is without making it up to us to determine the end result right away. I can't remember which scientist I read the article about that said the likelihood of it originating from a bat to a person, means that it is a legitimate consideration that it was man-made in wuhan's lab where they conduct that kind of work. Do you consider that to be a possibility? Since this effect of the entire world there is good reason to get to the bottom of this.

People have a right to ask a question why Dr fauci was against hcq, when so many other physicians successfully treated patients and kept them from hospitalizations with it. And other successful medications. His dismissal of these and the censorship of doctors that were successfully treating patients and keeping them from the hospital, gives a good reason to find out why, and a good cause for suspicion. Perhaps we should just in the thread and wait till the final information is released. But as been stated in different articles I've read Wuhan has had time to hide evidence and eliminate it so we may never know

Okay, so first... Where is the email that he said to cover up the lab leak? or that we need to push against it? The funding thing is semantics, you can't give money somewhere and expect the company to use it only for 1 specific thing... Particularly if it isn't a US company... Any email saying he was funding the specific research or that he wanted them to do gain of function experiments? Otherwise, maybe he was a little foolish to trust that they would maintain the "lines" but to outright accuse him of that... I personally always thought it was from a lab based on China's initial panic response.
Secondly, Where is the email saying to censor the hcq? I saw him advise one doctor that we were still waiting on the research so he couldn't advise it to be used yet...

There is an email where a scientist or a quack writes how it was made, that isn't some smoking gun and the work wasn't even the guy who wrote the email... Fauci doesn't even respond to it.

Besides the mask flip flopping, I believe he is also on record on giving a lower vaccination rate in order to open, then raising his percentage recommendation a couple times later. Something like from say 50% then to 60% then to 70%.
And he admits he did this because otherwise society would accept the higher number back when he said the lower number.

This is an informal discussion forum that does a pretty good job of allowing discussion, “connecting” Mennonites with others.
It’s not the Encyclopedia Britannica or anything like it. :) It’s not even GAMEO.

Awhile back, DanZ (and Hats Off) posted some of his thoughts on .. reasonable forum expectations.
i appreciated reviewing them this week.

Dan Z wrote:A few thoughts I've latched on to along the way that would make the MN experience a better one for all:
  • 1) We need to leave our pride at the door - we're likely wrong more than we think we are.

    2) Diversity is the spice of life. MN would be thoroughly boring if we all agreed.

    3) Come understanding that when our ideas are challenged two things can happen - we can learn to better defend our beliefs and ideas that can stand up to challenge, or we can learn to move on from the weak or faulty beliefs and ideas that don't stand up. Either way is a win for us.

    4) Don't label others, or turn them into a caricature of something in your head. They are dearly loved by God, and likely more nuanced and complex and insightful than you are able to discern from MN alone.

    5) Don't take things so personally - have fun, learn, test your ideas, be salt & light!

    6) Ultimately, remember which Kingdom you are a part of, and which citizenship is of eternal importance.
Another good one: :P
Will Hats Off return? ‘Hope so.
And, why has Gene been so quiet?

I do appreciate Dan’s #2. 8-)
For those who feel strongly about their vision/rules, i always look forward to learning of a new forum they might initiate! :D
There have been a few offshoots, mostly in the past (?) .. Various members have chosen other avenues, some are very much missed.
Facebook took a number of active members at one point. Blogs, etc. i’m always glad to know where folks go. :D
Some return now+then, or more frequently.

Well, no. Just look at he past few posts. Facts were shared. Care to speak to them or will you just wait a while then claim no one is posting facts? Kind of like, you seem to be doing what you are saying others are doing.
Nope. And you just proved my point by selectively editing my post to hide what I had said, implying I had said something quite different.
I don't see where I selectively edited your post.
