Your perception/relationship toward firearms?

Post by the-real-steve »

Vote and discuss. Please avoid attacks on others. I have my opinions, you are entitled to yours. This is for firearms. Other weapons such as archery are not the topic here and may eventually become a thread/poll of their own.

To that end, I will allow discussion of side topics such as concealed carry, law enforcement and armed forces as long as it is kept tactful. Start trashing our police and soldiers, we will have a problem. It is possible to discuss something without it becoming an argument. All you keyboard ninjas can go back to your mom's basement playing video games while eating a hot pocket your mom just heated up for you 8-)

Sold most of my firearms a few years after I became a church member. I'd like to thank a certain President who presided around 2021 who helped get me a much better price for my used firearms.

I've got my eye on a Winchester single shot .22. Very accurate and when I borrowed on from a friend, it did the job of taking care of a raccoon that was attacking and biting my dog, from a distance, and accurate enough I didn't have to worry about hitting the wrong target.

I would also add that whilst I don't carry a firearm for self defence, I am very grateful for my neighbours who do as they make our neighbourhood safer.

I've been at 3 pretty much all my life, but directionally, I might be a 2.5 now. As the "tool" becomes more of a hobby, and we want start to want to collect them, or they start to become part of our identity, that is where I find myself at 2.5.
