This thread is for those frustrating moments when you realize, even tho you were sure
you “had it right,” you didn’t. Start over. :?

My passport. My error.
i was sure .. it expired Mid-December 2017.

Monday evening, i got everything together, was working on a quick “renewal,” easier if done before expiration .. filling out the form .. “DATE OF ISSUE” .. ??? August 2007. Nooooo.

It expired in August. No rush now.

i carried it with me all summer, in the event we might cross over into Canada. we talked about it!
that would have been unpleasant.

your turn.

This isn't an issue for Canada, but some countries require your passport to be valid for 6 months from date of entry. One of my friends was unaware of this, and the airline prevented him from boarding the flight (they might otherwise have been required to return him to the US at their expense).

good point. i did not know about the possible 6 month waiting requirement.
in general, travel rules keep changing, for the positive and negative.

i had a pleasant surprise at SEA, returning.
i have 1 carry on, and 1 bag (underseat.)
this time, no removing shoes, they had NO bins, did not open bags, nothing.
the bags, and my sweater went on the conveyor belt, i stepped thru the (whatever it is) - done.
i carry insulin and ice in my small bag, they didn’t even look at that.

before, esp the med+ice, they had to go over+over .. nothing awful.
but this was fast+nice!

i would not count on this, esp not in my small regional airport.
but it was a pleasant surprise in SEA on that day.

Age better have its benefits - and I aim to take advantage of them all to make up for all the disadvantages. And I am not old, just older, but in church our minister refers to me as the "aged among us." I am also younger than George and Max.

You are not old you say. But you are old enough to remember my Mom as a young teen ager :) I know you grew up in her area. Did you possibly attend the same school. I am thinking she would of been in the higher grades when you started school. Correct?
