Posts which Never Received a Single 'Like'
Posts which Never Received a Single 'Like'
A recent new member who is apparently doing lots of reading, WAY back to 7 or more years ago, recently 'liked' something I posted "way back when". This is not about my own posts that went unnoticed, or "un-liked", but it got me thinking, wondering if there is a common denominator that causes a post to go "un-liked". So I checked to see if there is a search button for that (like the one for "unanswered topics"). I suppose there are thousands of posts that are like that, and it would take a dedicated sociologist to gather and analyze the data.

I've noticed that in order for a post to be liked...
It needs to...
1. Really express or resonate with the thoughts of someone else.
2. Be said in an engaging or refreshing way.
3. Be profound.
4. Or be similar to the same partisan political talking points as one's own

Sometimes I read a post, observe the number of Likes, and guess who gave them. I'm usually pretty close.

I "like" posts that fit the first three. I try to avoid the fourth.Soloist wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 4:11 pmWhich one for you?Ernie wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 3:57 pm I've noticed that in order for a post to be liked...

5. Person shares about something horrible that happened to them and somebody likes their post. Then, you’re not quite sure if they’re trying to show their support or they like the fact you fell down five flights of stairs
