I play in a hs league and know a lot of kids from just about every other team from playing with them on travel teams.
we hit each other and play hard against each other because we r competetive.
it doesn't mean that we hate each other or arent friends it's just part of the game. I think alot of people have the wrong idea about pro hockey players and think that they are just out for blood when they fight and that they are goons. Alot of the big fighters are actually really good friends off the ice
This video reminds of local unorganized neighborhood ice hockey years ago. Fun to watch.
The comment resonates.
Of course, friendly games+competitions are not reporting “gold” as now expected.

i’m perfectly comfortable with an older, wiser, more docile Trump.

No. Trudeau is still the prime minister and head of the Liberal Party. He said he will step aside once a replacement is chosen for both roles. Meanwhile, Parliament will be prorogued, or suspended, until March 24.

Hmmm, kind of like a dictator would do. Just keep putting off the replacement until another crisis and justify it. Kind of like Zelenskyy has done in Ukraine.
We will see if March 24 comes and he actually steps down. Seems like he is being more the dictator then Trump is right now. Gee, I wonder why the press is not calling him out.

Yeah, if Trump suspends Congress, he would indubitably be a pro rogue.

Canadian but not in Canada. Not al Canadians are so peaceful.
Cameron Smith, a 50-year-old Canadian national, has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for orchestrating attacks on critical energy facilities in the United States.
Smith’s actions, which targeted an oil pipeline in South Dakota and an electrical substation in North Dakota, resulted in $1.7 million in damages and significant disruptions to essential services.
Smith pleaded guilty last September to two separate counts of destruction of an energy facility.
According to court documents, Smith admitted to attacking the Wheelock Substation near Ray, North Dakota, in May 2023, resulting in damages exceeding $100,000.
This facility, essential to the region’s electrical supply, is operated by Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative and Basin Electric Power Cooperative.
Additionally, Smith acknowledged his role in damaging crucial equipment at the Keystone Pipeline pump station near Carpenter, South Dakota, in July 2022.
Using a high-powered rifle, Smith inflicted significant damage to both a transformer and pipeline equipment, resulting in widespread disruption of electrical services and interrupting pipeline operations—an incident also involving damages surpassing $100,000.
Prosecutors successfully argued that Smith’s actions met the definition of terrorism by attempting to intimidate or coerce a civilian population.
U.S. District Judge Daniel Traynor imposed consecutive sentences of 12.5 years for each offense.
