Finding a good doctor is like finding a good mechanic. It can be tricky to find the one that knows exactly what that noise in the front end is from.

I seem to be on the spectrum and was having a lot of struggles this past year. When they came out and said Tylenol could be causing it. I stopped taking it and found most of my challenges went away. Not sure if it is psychosomatic or what. Just know I am doing much better. I was taking Tylenol about 3 times a week and feeling the need to up that some. I stopped taking it and after about 2 weeks, I didn't feel the need to even take Aleve but maybe once every 2 weeks. My head cleared. I am much calmer and I can sit in a room for meetings without feeling like I am coming out of my skin. I can handle eye contact of people again. Tylenol may work for others, but found it is not good for me.
I’m glad you found out what’s causing your symptoms. A good dr who takes the time to find a cause is scarce these days. I don’t know why it’s so hard to find a good diagnostician. Maybe it’s just a shortage of drs or maybe it’s the shortage of doctors who are trained to be digging deeper like the DOs (Doctors of Osteopathic medicine).
This one we went to was recommended by a friend. He spent years suffering from fatigue and low moods between August and April. He’d also get sick a lot. Most of the drs he went to just told him to take vitamin c and decongestants and antibiotics. It didn’t help. This DO doctor tested his vitamin d levels and found them to be really low and that this friend suffered from seasonal affective disorder when there wasn’t enough sunshine out. Now he takes his vitamin d and doesn’t get sick so much anymore. He almost never needs antibiotics anymore.
I don’t know a whole lot about actual autism but I know that sometimes people who are diagnosed with autism behaviors sometimes should get blood tests to see for what’s missing or if there’s allergies. Everyone reacts to something even if it’s just hay fever and poison ivy.

AI is actually helping a lot with diagnosis. I think this is a really good use of it.

I think I am funnier than I really am.
