Looks like you missed your chance to hear Gordon Lightfoot. He died this week.ohio jones wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 11:32 amNot just alive, but he was in your neighborhood recently (though he didn't perform either of the referenced pieces).

Bright+upbeat. A trumpet* can be so versatile.Reminiscing / Lyrics
Friday night, it was late, I was walking you home
We got down to the gate and I was dreaming of the night
Would it turn out right
How to tell you girl
I want to build my world around you
Tell you that it's true
I want to make you understand I'm talkin' about a lifetime plan
That's the way it began, we were hand in hand
Glenn Miller's Band was better than before
We yelled and screamed for more
And the Porter tunes (Night and Day)
Made us dance across the room
It ended all too soon
And on the way back home I promised you'd never be alone
Hurry, don't be late, I can hardly wait
I said to myself when we're old
We'll go dancing in the dark
Walking through the park and reminiscing
Friday night, it was late, I was walking you home
We got down to the gate and I was dreaming of the night
Would it turn out right
Now as the years roll on
Each time we hear our favorite song
The memories come along
Older times we're missing
Spending the hours reminiscing
Hurry, don't be late, I can hardly wait
I said to myself when we're old
We'll go dancing in the dark
Walking through the park and reminiscing

The Sweetest Gift / Lyrics
One day a mother
Come to a prison
To see an 'erring
But precious son
She told the warden
How much she loved him
It did not matter
What he had done
She did not bring to him
(Bring to him)
Parole or pardon
(Pardon free)
She brought no silver
(Brought no gold)
No pomp nor style
(Him to see)
It was a halo
(Halo bright)
Sent down from heaven
(Heaven's light)
The sweetest gift
(A mother's smile)
Her boy had wandered
Far from the far side
Though she had pleaded
With him each night
But not a word did
She ever utter
That told her heartaches
Her smile was bright
She did not bring to him
(Bring to him)
Parole or pardon
(Pardon free)
She brought no silver
(Brought no gold)
No pomp nor style
(Him to see)
It was a halo
(Halo bright)
Sent down from heaven
(Heaven's light)
The sweetest gift
(A mother's smile)
She left a smile
You can remember
She's gone to heaven
From heartache's free
Them bars around you
Will never change her
He was her baby
An error will be
She did not bring to him
(Bring to him)
Parole or pardon
(Pardon free)
She brought no silver
(Brought no gold)
No pomp nor style
(Him to see)
It was a halo
(Halo bright)
Sent down from heaven
(Heaven's light)
The sweetest gift
(A mother's smile)
It was a halo bright
Sent down from heaven's light
The sweetest gift
A mother's smile

Satanic Music Industry IN PANIC As Ben Shapiro And Tom MacDonald HIT #1, Woke Media FURIOUS
^^ok. this comment is funny.@aaronmorgan1004 WROTE:
“Who’s in favor for Tom’s next track of “clean your room” featuring Jordan Peterson?“
Agreed, and you could probably continue.RZehr wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 11:53 am I do think it is funny to see this song doing so well on iTunes. And I think it’s a funny collaboration.
I will say that the song itself may be guilty of the thing that it is fighting back against.
Specifically, the repeating line of “I don’t care if I offend you”.
This isn’t the spirit of the values that they should seem to want this country to operate in.
That line seems like something that would be in any rebellious song, a line that has been used against good values, a spirit that the very people he is pushing against use.
Also, “what would Ben do”is a funny line, taken off “what would Jesus do”, which is an accurate reflection of this country.
We don’t ask what Jesus would do anymore, instead we ask what our popular celebrity influencers would do.
This too is indicative of a decline in moral clarity of this country. Ben shouldn’t be followed, Jesus should be.
Humans are unique in how slowly we grow+mature. God’s design.Description:

Imagine how Ben felt when his violin teacher told him that he had to put emotion into his music and not facts![]()

A Jewish father and son playing a classical Catholic prayer to the mother of Jesus...with passion.
Talk about consideration, appreciation and excellence.

Twoset makes me feel insecure about my violin playing and I don't even play violin
@reepicheepsfriend WROTE:
Anyone who is here to complain that they criticized Ben's playing totally missed the point. They are giving him free advice.
The world of classical performance revolves around constructive criticism and advice; to anyone who has been trained this way, it is normal.
Ben even said on his twitter account that he agreed with them.
So you guys can relax because they are actually doing him a favor and providing something for free that most people have to pay for.

You two are professionals, critiquing an amateur.
Would have been easy to smash down, yet you were classy, respectful, helpful.
Nicely done!
