When I say "Beachy" I mean the mainstream Beachy constituency, which as a rule becomes more worldly over time until it is indistinguishable from non-plain churches. I could also pick on the CMC for this, except their transition to non-plainness is almost complete.
The transition with the OOA seems no different from the transitions Amish had in the past in the 19th century and early 20th century. The ones who will remain Amish are the ones who resist the tide of "changing times".
And yes, I think it's absurd for people to drive tractors as personal transportation. Go buy a car and get a driver licence.
