I suspect AI generated videos but either way it makes no difference to me.
We are in a post-truth era in politics. We can all debate what is the actual truth here on this forum. But that isn't what is influencing votes. What is influencing votes is what some apolitical and disengaged 24 year old Hispanic construction worker or waitress in Philly sees on TikTok that might make them decide to vote.

We have always had our fair share of posters who routinely exaggerate and over-generalize. It is really difficult to have a discussion when that is the standard way of communicating.JohnH wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 3:50 pmSeems to be a post truth era on this message board tooken_sylvania wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 3:47 pmYea, I've been noticing that.Ken wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 3:42 pm

I agree. I really had little issue with the "garbage" statement. It just is more validation of what the elites think of us peasants. I really don't care.
I think it is quite funny the way Trump is trolling Biden and Harris. They are welcome to troll back. Some of it is a little funny, but they are not not as good at it.
I personably think it is a good idea to get all the politicians to spend a day doing the work we do every day. I wish more would do it.
A great idea for a new season of Dirty Jobs. Instead of Mike Rowe, get politicians to do the work. I think they show would go over well. I would watch it.

I didn't take it he's saying Harris' supporters are garbage. I thought he's saying her advisers are.

Refresh my memory. Are you the one who came here to tell us about "chemtrails" and Black soldiers fighting for the Confederacy?JohnH wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 3:50 pmSeems to be a post truth era on this message board tooken_sylvania wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 3:47 pmYea, I've been noticing that.Ken wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 3:42 pm

Re: Bunny Trails
Before the username purge there was a John Hurt posting here who was constantly bringing up conspiracy theories like how the Pentagon was manipulating the weather through chemtrails as well as random Confederate apologia such as how Black southerners really supported the Confederacy.
That wasn't you?

I was confused at first too, but JohnH’s writing style is so different that I don’t think they’re the same person.Ken wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 6:11 pmBefore the username purge there was a John Hurt posting here who was constantly bringing up conspiracy theories like how the Pentagon was manipulating the weather through chemtrails as well as random Confederate apologia such as how Black southerners really supported the Confederacy.

I also realized recently that the MN user “John Hurt’s” username is a reference to the late British actor John Hurt, who played the hero Winston Smith in the film version of “1984.” Considering the conspiratorial nature of “John Hurt’s” posts, it makes a lot of sense that he used that reference as a username.
