What size/version/format Bible do you use?

When it just doesn't fit anywhere else.

That's the opposite of me. I journal & take a lot of notes through out the day. I have to hold it in my hand. I have to handwrite it, too. I even use day-planners instead of using my phone for appointments. I think I may have been born a generation too late!

My main Bibles are now the Christian Standard Bibles. I have a big and heavy study Bible that I use, well for studying and note taking and such. But I just this week bought a large print compact reference CSB Bible that I carry with me now everyehere and can read in bed. I love my study Bible but it's a bit unwieldy and heavy. My new compact Bible is purple leatherette...

The best Bible is the one you actually read.

I use a handful of Bibles. One is easy to carry with me, one is particularly easy to read. I have apps on my phone and a desktop program. I like to print out texts on paper and use colored pencils to study various things, or put text into a word processor and outline it or format it in different ways.

I like to compare translations, including translations into different languages.

I wouldn't want to be limited to just one Bible.

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?

I agree with this as well. I've found that my little "snap flap" Bible gets quite the workout just because its so handy.

I'm the same way, Steve. I like my day planners and handwritten notes. The bonus to this low-tech approach is the fact that I never have to replace the batteries or plug it in.

Addendum: I do have a New American Bible Revised Edition translation that I use as well just not as much as the RSV-CE. Both the RSV-CE and NABRE cover most of my needs. Unless I'm digging into Greek; then it's other references for deep study not for daily reading for personal growth.

Parallel Plus on an iPad Pro. Normally NIV-KJV parallel unless I am working with a Chinese speaker, than the Union version, either simplified or traditional. Sometimes to get a better handle on the test, particularly verbs, I might bring up a third column, normally VanDyke Arabic translation. It is a much more specific language than English, and it helps me keep at least some reading skills.

If I need paper, I have a 1984 NIV/KJV parallel.

I have a misprinted KJV I picked up for $2 from Ollie's Bargain Outlet. (I actually have 2 of them, one lives in my car, the other goes in my laptop bag.)

(The misprints are 1 or 2 spelling errors, plus the publisher name on the book binding doesn't match what's on the pages.)
