i stumbled upon a small treasure-trove of live webcams last night .. being night, there wasn’t much to see.
i used to check in on a couple, but not for years.

2016 / Brier Island Webcam / Nova Scotia (This one’s kind of fizzled out) ..

I remember seeing one of these in London. The Beatles took a photo of themselves walking across Abbey Road using the crosswalk for the cover of their album "Abbey Road". That crosswalk has one or more webcams pointed at it for public view. You can see tourists pausing there to pose for a picture, recreating the famous album cover photo. They are disrupting traffic there because it is still a functioning public roadway of course.

Edit: found it. At 6:15 AM Eastern Time, there are tourists active there, pausing quickly in the road in the hope that their friends get a good picture of them.
