Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

I wonder about this too. Do they mix them up so you'll see unexpected stuff when you're looking for dried beans and make an impulse buy of a bag of pistachios?

I agree it's not funny - somehow reminds me of the verse in Proverbs about the kind of people who think sin is a laughing matter.

Maybe it’s to keep people in the store longer, and the longer they are in there wondering around, the more likely they are to buy more stuff.
Or maybe it is based on some new store design based on efficiency or maybe some study showing that the new design sells more stuff.

Sometimes it's a vendor asking for a specific location for their product. Or one vendor out-bidding another for product placement.

Perhaps like Elijah mocking the prophets of Baal: And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. 1Kings 18:27ken_sylvania wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 12:15 pmI agree it's not funny - somehow reminds me of the verse in Proverbs about the kind of people who think sin is a laughing matter.
Or Jesus, calling Herod a fox, in Luke 13:32.
Can you think of any time Scripture records God laughing except in derision? Such as He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Psa 2:4

Whatever the reason, I can tell you our friends do not like it. We are all of an advanced age and none of us want to walk marathons at Walmart in order to find our favorites. Those little dollar stores are becoming more attractive all the time because they are almost never rearranged. Walk in and 5 minutes later we are in the car and headed home. Easy peasy.RZehr wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 12:19 pmMaybe it’s to keep people in the store longer, and the longer they are in there wondering around, the more likely they are to buy more stuff.
