Re: I think it is funny
One Sunday morning, the pastor noticed little Alex standing in the foyer of the church staring up at a large plaque. It was covered with names and small American flags mounted on either side of it.
The six-year old had been staring at the plaque for some time, so the pastor walked up, stood beside the little boy and said quietly, "Good morning, Alex."
"Good morning, Pastor," he replied, still focused on the plaque. "Pastor, what is this?"
The pastor replied, "Well, son, it's a memorial to all the young men and women who died in the service."
Soberly, they just stood together, staring at the large plaque. Finally, little Alex's voice, barely audible and trembling with fear asked:
“Pastor, which service, the 8:00 or the 9:30?"

Re: I think it is funny
One Sunday morning after the church service, Johnny hurriedly made his way to the back of the church to greet the pastor. He vigorously shook the pastor's hand and slipped some money into his hand. "What's is this for? " asked the pastor. Johnny responded loudly and proudly ," its money," he said. My parents say that you are such a "poor pastor" and I just want to help out.

Ah, in the service. The guy checking my sister out at Auto Zone asked her if she is in the service (for a discount on the car battery). She grinned and replied, "In the service of the King!" He gave her the discount.

Imagine you were born in 1900.
When you're 14
World War I begins
and ends at 18 years old
with 22 million dead.
Shortly after, a global pandemic
Flu called 'Spanish' ",
kills 50 million people.
You come out alive and free
You are 20 years old.
Then, at 29, you survive the global economic crisis that started with the collapse of the New York Stock Exchange, causing Inflation, Unemployment, and Hunger.
At 33, the nazis come to power.
You turn 39 when World War II starts and ends at 45 During the Holocaust (Holocaust), 6 million Jews die.
There will be over 60 million deaths in total.
When you're 52, the Korean War begins.
At age 64, the Vietnam War begins and ends at age 75
A boy born in 1985 thinks his grandparents have no idea how difficult life is, but they have survived several wars and disasters.
A boy born in 1995 and now 25 years old thinks it's the end of the world when his Amazon package takes over three days to arrive or when he doesn't get more than 15 likes for her photo posted on Facebook or Instagram. ....
In 2020, many of us live comfortably, have access to different sources of home entertainment, and often have more than we need.
But people complain about everything.
However, they have electricity, phone, food, hot water, and a roof over their heads.
None of this existed before.
But mankind survived far more disastrous circumstances and never lost the joy of living.
Maybe it's time to be less self-escaped, stop complaining, and stop crying.
Not really funny, but thought provoking. I tricked you into reading it thinking there was some punch line! Ha!

If you don’t mind I’m going to email this to friends. Hopefully the wisdom will be shared. An attitude of gratitude is sorely needed.
