For the first time... Got to see 28 satellites march in a straight-line in the sky above our home this week. Very unique thing in the night sky, even if it is man-made. I assume it was Starlink.
I wonder what the remote, native indigenous people conclude when they see this.
Has anyone else seen something like this?

Re: Satellite Launch
Yeah and they aren’t interesting to look at. The space station on the other hand is really cool to look at.
Through a telescope I mean.

Yep I've seen the starlink satellites. I thought it was pretty cool. It reminded me of a team of horses.

Interesting thought. I wonder how many people actually fit in this category anymore. At this point they have been observing artificial lights in the sky for decades, jets, space station, satellites. I would guess, assuming a truly disconnected group exists, they have developed theories/legends/myths/religions to explain it.

Yes I've seen Starlink satellites, and I've seen plastic trash in rivers and streams.R7ehr wrote: ↑Fri Dec 19, 2025 7:59 pmYes I have. Re: Satellite Launch
Yes, I wish they would disappear after their first launch. It is not as much fun to lay on the ground and look at the sky at night anymore. Airplanes were already spoiling it when I was young.ken_sylvania wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 4:14 pmYes I've seen Starlink satellites, and I've seen plastic trash in rivers and streams.R7ehr wrote: ↑Fri Dec 19, 2025 7:59 pmYes I have.
