Christmas Meal at your House?

Post by steve-in-kville »

(obviously for those that celebrate and you're hosting a meal)

We've been doing brunch the past few major holidays, at least the ones that don't fall on Sunday. It becomes more of a buffet than an actual sit-down meal. The smell of frying bacon does tend to drag them out of bed, though!

We celebrated Christmas with the in-laws last Saturday and none of us feel like we need a full-blown dinner. My MIL believes that Christmas Dinner is basically the second coming of Thanksgiving, so I'm pretty much done with turkey for another year.

We do most of our celebration Christmas Eve, so tonight I'm making fondue. :)

From my Facebook...
Whatcha cooking for Christmas? Menu here: Starters of blue corn chips with queso and guacamole. Also some fer jalapeño thing with brisket and cream cheese and bacon, done on the grill. Then BBQ’d pulled pork tacos and fresh pico de gallo. And a cornbread thing, whatever it’s called. Etc.

You can't spell tomorrow, either.

I think it would be a great way to spell the holiday celebration at your local Pentecostal church.

With a twist. Say, Mary and Joseph speaking in tongues... or the wise men bringing the gifts of the Spirit.
