Saw on the weather report that Jan 6-7 a cold front is moving through the South and we might get up to 8 inches of snow. That’s not too bad.
OTOH Florida’s temps will drop low enough that the iguanas go comatose and fall out of trees. FL has some really weird stuff going on.
Sinkholes
Raining iguanas
Brain eating amoebas
Alligators
Pythons
Tornados
Hurricanes
Mosquito born diseases
And the weirdest thing of all. Disney World.

Wife: it’s OK now. Ever since they renamed it the gulf of America, Florida got 10 inches of snow the next day and no hurricanes that year.
Also, you forgot acorn cop. https://www.fox10tv.com/2024/03/20/att ... utType=amp

2026 AD

Ready or not.
:)
Anno Domini
The phrase "in the year of our Lord" translates to "anno Domini" in Latin, meaning "in the year of the Lord".
It is used to denote years in the Gregorian or Julian calendar, specifically marking years from the traditionally reckoned year of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The full original phrase is "anno Domini nostri Jesu Christi," which translates to "in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ".

Many modern scholars are using CE in place of AD.
As of January 1, 2026, in China, it is the year 2026 according to the Gregorian calendar, which is used for official and daily purposes. However, in the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar, the year began on February 17, 2026, marking the start of the Year of the Horse (丙午年, Bǐng Wǔ Nián). This year is also referred to as 4723 in the Huangdi (Yellow Emperor) era, a traditional Chinese year-counting system.

i’m somewhat aware, and not in appreciation. :)

i appreciate cultures that recognize human age beginning at conception rather than birth, tho. 8-)
i doubt modern scholars care much for that approach.

Been attending a new (non-denominational) church plant the past month or so. WE discussed today the plans moving forward. After the service/meeting, I had to inform the pastor he is just starting an Anabaptist Church just without the Peace Issue. I think we might have foot washing from time to time too.

Wife and I are both enjoying it. I am at the place in life I am content with being a support instead of anything in leadership.

I like what I'm reading at the their website. Their focus on the word of God is really important I'm glad to see. About how many attend services every week?
