Re: Today ...
It turned out to be a huge job for the power companies. About 2 miles of electric poles down! And more.
Power is still out for about 1200. But they got so much done! So many men and trucks showed up. More work to be done.
Spectacular sunset as only God can create:
i’m glad someone got this picture.
i told my son the sunset is raspberry red!

Re: Today ...
Even with the fireplace, i was too cold to sleep. i was putting a log on every hour.
.. Respect for the pioneers.
i hope they were getting good food to eat. i couldn’t tell, driving by. i didn’t see anything except work-work-work.
i thought of my mother’s stories of the threshing parties when the men would work so hard, the women prepared bountiful home cooked meals. she described those days with such love and respect.

hmm.A deadly tornado outbreak affected large portions of the Midwestern, Southern and Eastern United States, the result of an extratropical cyclone that is also producing blizzard conditions in the Upper Midwest. Approximately 28 million people were under tornado watches during the evening of March 31, including the Little Rock, St. Louis, Chicago, and Memphis metropolitan areas.[2]
The National Weather Service issued multiple PDS tornado watches, concerning several lines of supercell thunderstorms, many of which produced tornadoes, some of which have prompted the issuance of tornado emergencies and multiple mass casualty incidents.
At certain points of the outbreak, over 20 simultaneous tornado warnings were active. Severe and tornadic weather also affected the Northeastern United States on the afternoon on April 1, including a destructive tornado that caused a death in Sussex County, Delaware. ..

Re: Today ...
Years ago, stories were told of the Palm Sunday tornadoes of 1965, with 62 deaths in Elkhart County IN alone, 266 total. There were only 55 tornadoes in that event, but they ranked higher on the Enhanced Fajita scale, with 18 F4s compared to only one on this Palm Sunday weekend.

Yesterday in OH i was working at the store & the winds were like nothing I've seen before. We had to help older ladies to their car as they were afraid.
People keep commenting about how much wind we're getting these days- seems unusually frequent & foerce- Mom says same in their area of San Diego CA.
People are questioning why & raising all kinds of speculation, I've beard some very interesting ideas. Working with the public is enlightening.
What can we do but pray?

Re: Today ...
Today is National Tomato Day.
April is also Fresh Florida Tomato Month. I guess since a National Tomato Month (October) is not enough.
