Why? did I say something offensive? the tech companies are actively working to remove Parler.
That depends. If you were implying that my friends were isolated and unreachable, then yes. Were you?

I wouldn't have known you were literally talking about your friends...

What I was implying was that people on both sides are becoming increasingly polarized and removing avenues of engaging them is only going to polarize them more as they become a constant echo chamber and become radicalized.
The dark net is by in large an area of the web most people don't even understand or know how to get to so you generally need connections in the first place or a target to follow.
I'm not approving of the censorship and the isolation and unreachable aspect applies to both sides but the more they don't hear the reasonable arguments on both sides...

I was never targeting your friends with my comments, just a social phenomena

you have to accept that as fact.
from sources that are in competition with Parler, and other sites.

lots of people aren’t willing to jump in on all that. not much in life is that cut+dried.
Amazon isn’t Parler’s competitor; they are their customer and were making money off of them. I have an acquaintance who used to work for Amazon AWS and she mentioned that this is a highly unusual move. Making a hosting service political is bad for the bottom line.

I don’t have patience for your attempts to deny and obfuscate what is clearly happening in front of us. Please stop.

Okay, sorry I misunderstood you. Not one person I followed was promoting violence though. They were banned for political reasons.

Well I heard this but haven't bothered to check into it that one of Iran's leaders tweeted that the vaccine was bad and that got censored, but death to Israel was okay.

I've never had a twitter and while I used to have facebook, I got rid of that at least 7 years ago now. My social media is mostly just Mennonet.

This thread is about what is going on in YOUR life today, not Amazon hosting service life. Get back on topic.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

i pray i do not fall into the pit of accepting political ideologues and their press as Truth.

Today, I finished framing up a wall for a new bathroom. Somehow a water line fitting fractured and we gots lots of water in the basement. Lines fixed and basement is just about dry. I wonder what would cause a fitting to fail the exact day I was cutting a hole in a wall?
