Apparently, I tried to hit on my wife coming out of anesthesia and tried to sing to her. I have no memory of this.
Thankfully it was her. :hi5

Amen! Apparently, I kept asking her if I was sexy. At that point, my bleeding, numbed mouth was stuffed with gauze.

i don’t mean to scare the guys, but, there were a few times when my husband’s illness left him “compromised” and confused (for short periods).

i never mentioned it to him, but, honestly, his loyalty to me as his wife came out, it was not compromised, even in those “crazy” moments. he was gallant. 8-)

you know, it really meant a lot to me to see this. he was an honorable man. even in duress.

i’d like to think, if it had been otherwise, i could have accepted he wasn’t himself.
but we never had to cross that bridge.

funny what is remembered.

It was a relief that I did this to my wife and not someone else. I love my wife very much and would have been mortified if I had done this to someone else. I have no memory that I did this at all.

I daresay your New Year's will be uncomfortable. I am sorry it had to be done. Nevertheless your wife will have a great story for the family. Prayers for a quick recovery.

Between catching Covid and getting my wisdom teeth pulled, December 2020 has not been my best month. But I’m ok, thanks to God.

It could have been that you never knew.
These are odd little moments that might mean nothing, or might mean a lot.
Sort of, “How do you behave when you think no one’s watching?” (that’s how our experience struck me.)

It’s very intimate.
you know, i think, above all, what most people long for in life, is trust and intimacy with another person. as strange as it may sound, my husband’s illness, with all the hard things it brought, also brought moments of deep intimacy i don’t know if anything else would have.

after he passed, i had this feeling of, “that’s it. that was intimacy that can’t be duplicated.”

people say they long for love. i think i learned, what is really wanted is true intimacy.

i never expected the level of mutual trust and respect that became our “everyday” experience - for a few years. it wasn’t planned, not expected, never! but it happened, and then unexpected depths of intimacy happened. God works in mysterious ways. :)

your experience is funny! :P
but, possibly it may have also touched your wife’s psyche on a deeper level, about who you really are. whether she’s aware or not.

by God’s design, we humans are “more than the sum of our parts.”

Today. Same time as yesterday, only one day later.

It seems odd to think of 2020 as “last year.”

One of the dentists I've seen told me I should get mine out... I'm not looking forward to it but my mother said waiting makes it worse. (she had hers done a year or two ago)

That being said, I'll do it under local and hear the "Crack!"
