We sang Shine, Jesus, Shine today in church. I could not get through it. It was so appropriate for what our nation needs today. I actually cried a little and could not even sing.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.

What Josh said in another thread applies here, in light of Mr. Sylvester's words,

"Without people converting to Christ, they will continue to be violent and lawless at some level, and in the end times lawlessness will increase. When both civilian citizen, police, and government officials and employees are all lawless, there is not some kind of magic legislation to pass that will somehow end the violence."
i haven’t been reading MN, i’m pretty overwhelmed by what i see elsewhere. i have not wanted to read members here being torn and twisted.

when i came across Mr Sylvester’s words, i felt direction, peace, and hope.
i took a quick look at his FB profile page, and thought he is for real.

after reading your comment, i went back to read his page more closely and carefully.
interesting guy. in his 50’s. well educated. lots of life experience. beautiful family.

all my life i’ve been impressed with different ethnicities Christians; i mean, Jesus offers Truth equally to all. His followers have the responsibility to share His message. it’s amazing to see Jesus in action in every imaginable life situation. no limits. the more difficult the circumstances, the brighter Jesus’ Light glows.

in this last couple of weeks i’ve thought many times, the U.S. DOE is a failure.
then, sadly, our churches have failed, too. so many now looking to government and political blocs for earthly and eternal answers. that’s a failure.

i do not join political parties or political blocs. never have. i thank my parents for their leadership and warnings on that. as an adult, and Christian, i do not see any indication Jesus wants that from us, or for us.

restoration of husband and father-led families and churches, in Jesus’ name, is needed.
God helps us. when this is not possible, He gives us what we need. we manage.

but when we are blessed with God’s order, our ability to thrive is increased.
Mr Sylvester and his family and friends seem to be thriving in faith. :D

(i’ll send a link to his FB page in pm. i read public displays.)

i see interesting posts and videos from other constructive individuals, too. individuals hoping to be part of solutions. some are quite young! “each in his own way, in his own words.” :D

black people can’t “fix” white people, nor vice versa.
we can admire and encourage each other in our journeys. esp to encourage in faith.

the UNorganized majority is my favorite part of the U.S., i believe its greatest hope.

gov and political blocs may inadvertently do more damage than good.
some well-intended legislation has unintended consequences.
opportunists are always present to make sure damage happens.

no matter human laws, tho. Jesus offers His Way, above all others.

those who live it and prove it - are rarely featured in “news” reports. never in world-wide media events. these are part of the marvelous UNorganized majority.

On May 28, i had the privilege of remotely viewing my son’s girlfriend’s PhD dissertation, Applied Mathematics. Cancer research. (Did i say that right?) i’m in awe. a new experience for me.
She has a job. :D She will be teaching in Michigan. 4 hours’ drive for me. Neighbors! :D

She is such a sweetheart. Kind and thoughtful. i hope the best for her. Them? i’m waiting. :P
Patience is a virtue, tho not mine. :?

i did not anticipate how emotional this is for me. it’s well to get the heart pumping. :D
she has been working on this the entire time i’ve known her.

I’m so tired of the wind. It’s been constantly blowing over the past few days — the kind of wind that sucks the moisture out of you. It’s been dry too and we are having prairie fires break out here and there.

Does it affect the bees?

Mostly no. The bees tend to stay in the hive during high wind. We’ve had some nuc lids blown off and some buckets of sugar syrup overturned. It does make it difficult to go into the hive boxes to check on them.

Now onions and deer is another story. It’s been so dry that we have deer going after my wife’s R&D onion field. Deer hate onions, but we’re finding some of them get eaten anyway.

My parents decided this year they were not going to plant the usual R&D sweet corn patch. They will buy sweet corn at the local farmers market and let the Raccoons & Deer find their own.

Lol. In this case, it’s actual research and development — the wife is breeding onions for drought and disease resistance. So I don’t get to eat the onions :(
