What I have observed in Holmes County OH for the 25 years we've spent a lot of time in-
Volleyball is very popular (Amish)
Baseball or softball (Amish)
We've gone on Bird Watching hikes at Magee Marsh OH, seen lots of Amish families bird watching
I know hunting & fishing are popular among our Amish areas-sportsman shows- well attended

I know that our local Amish & possible Mennonite- travel to Sarasota FL & they seem to be into shuffleboard down there at their Pinecraft Community (they've told us this, and we witnessed it when visiting Pinecraft in Sarasota.

We have Middle Creek Wildlife, or as the locals call it, "Project 70."

Lots of trails, some easier than others. The lake itself is pretty neat. The museum, when open, is worth it. Its free so that makes it "legal" to go on a Sunday.

I recently took up skateboarding again after a twenty year hiatus. I looked for suitable deck graphics and came up with this:



It‘s now time to replace that deck so I have a new one lined up, also befitting of an anabaptist skater - the Peace Tree:



I also bought a skate shoe with anabaptist connotations, the Dennis Busenitz pro model by Adidas. Busenitz is an excellent skater and his family are anabaptists in Kansas or so I gathered from an interview.

Some years back I almost bought a longboard, I guess what we would call "land surfing."

I don't have a problem with it. It has its own culture like anything else would.

Hey, I never realized what kville stood for. Was in the area during the big storm in March, what, 30+ years ago?
Stopped at Jake's Place(?) for coffee.
Walked round in Project 70 as well, but not that particular time. Memories.

Valerie, they share quite a bit with the British. Rather than solitary outings, our custom (back in the day) was to join a Rambler's group or a Birder's group. It was quite the social outing as much as it was academic or exercise.
