Are you looking for something seasonal? Something children can help with? Something to do inside or outside?

Our children are teenagers & up, so they can help with most anything.
Some like more variety in things they do so changing with seasons might be a good idea.
Some of us like outdoor things and some like more inside things.
I wonder if being interested in a variety of things makes it harder to decide - because what if that other interest would be better to get into?

For me, sewing is my first choice.

There are lots of items you can sew an put in small stores.

-Rice bags (to heat or cool and put on one's neck or back where there is pain)
-Neck pillows
-Sun bonnets
-Clothes pin "sacks". (ladies hang it near their clothesline so that they can easily reach the clothes pins when hanging out their laundry)
-Towels made from a pot holder and tea towel (ladies fasten these to the handle of the kitchen stove, etc. for handy use of drying their hands)
-Dresses (sell on Etsy)

I'd stick with masks, honestly. I pass two Mennonite families on the way to the grocery store. $3/each and business is booming! One is along a major roadway, the other more of a secondary road.

Children's accessories like bibs. My mother made very nice cloth smock bibs for our girls that were hugely popular with all the other moms because they had never seen them before. People will spend a ton of money on baby accessories, you'd be astonished.

Especially if you can tap into the Grandma spending.

Ken, do you have a picture of the smock bib?

And I do like all the ideas of things to sew!

It was from a 1950s pattern that my mother had passed on down. I'll look for a picture of one of my kids wearing one. I think we gave them all away.

Sent you a private message with my email. Send me an actual email and I can send you back some attached photos.

They were kind of like this but short sleeved with a tie in the back. Also with a large pocket all across the front to catch spilled food and such. My mom would make them in all kinds of colorful prints.

If you like sewing, lots of people want things sewn for them, depending on your experience level / how good you are at it. I agree with Mike that masks are a licence to print money right now. If you know plain people in your area, ask if they know anyone who wants help with their sewing, such as for kids’ clothes.
