Cats do keep the mole, vole, rodent population under control so I wouldn't hurt them. Here's an idea that works really well and serves another purpose: it will keep raccoons and others out of your strawberries so you can have a full harvest. Also, it you want to start your plantings early, you can attach a row cover over it to keep the warmth steady in early spring freezes.

I like that hoop idea......... will have to see what we can come up with.

I think we do have a part roll of chicken wire, but probably not long enough for the whole bed.

We won't do anything harmful to the cats. They are our children's pets.

I will spray them with the water hose if they dare go in the patch when I have the hose in my reach!! And I'm going to try the vinegar trick too.

Anybody need a cat? or 2? So far this spring there were only 3 baby kittens.

I used a similar idea for my tender vegetable sprouts when we had the farm. Initially it was an investment but I re-used them every year. Some of the pvc I was able to get from the leftovers of local plumbers.

Find someplace to plant mint and catnip and other things cats love. They will leave your garden alone.

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?
