The correct term is PUBLIC property, not government property.

And they aren't extraneous if the public who owns them, put them there.

They don't need it taught to them. They already know what it is because the world in which they live has gay people in it. Children don’t need taught about homosexuality or about other perversions in elementary school.

I think that the Joe Camel, cigarette marketing to children, is an apt comparison.
