Well, of all the convicted criminals in Texas do YOU think that Daniel Perry was most deserving of a pardon?

Do you think he was wrongly convicted?
Do you think he has shown remorse?
It's obviously a political statement. Given that left-wing governors refuse to prosecute left-wing violence and use whatever means they can to harass their political enemies, are you surprised a right-wing governor has decided to put the left wing on notice that there is a limit to how much the right wing is going to try to play by the rules whilst the left-wing blatantly breaks the rules?

If you don't like this sort of thing, then the left wing needs to stop operating by "the ends justify the means". If they don't get this under control, the current political right is eventually going to be replaced with a new right wing that also operates by the "end justifies the means".
Right….

Name one left-wing murderer who was pardoned by a Democratic governor anywhere in the US. Or for that matter, name one single left-wing murderer anywhere in the US who should have been prosecuted but was not for political reasons.

Go ahead, we will wait.

If what you claim is actually true and not just right-wing propaganda then you should have no trouble finding lots of actual examples of left-wing murders going free to show us.
You may be waiting awhile... if not interminably... I asked essentially the same question on the 1st pg of the thread... Looks like the following pages were conveniently focused on something else entirely. An honest answer to the question, would expose a Big Lie (or simplistic black & white paradigm?) that some want very badly to believe...

They pay for necessities with money they receive through government assistance.
Sounds like this area is being run exactly as the government intends, actually.

It is also more of a rural problem than urban problem. Disability rates are higher in rural areas than urban areas: https://www.census.gov/library/stories/ ... areas.html
No doubt influenced by the ubiquity of coal mining in some of there areas.

Folks, "Left Wing" murders are not pardoned, they are simply not prosecuted to begin with, or witnesses are too intimidated to come forward.

PLEASE try to tell me the largest gang in my fair city is not a left wing political entity.

Just look up "Black Guerrilla Family." Than try to explain to me why this is not a left wing group.

The former prosecutor would not bring cases against these people.

Did Marlyn Mosby murder anyone in a fit of racist rage? While seeking to groom young girls online for statutory rape? Are we talking apples to apples here?

From the article you linked to it appears she is guilty of two counts of fairly minor mortgage fraud. Same exact thing as Trump but on a vastly smaller scale. So in a just world she gets her 20 months and Trump for a massively larger scale fraud gets 10x longer sentence and gets out sometime in 2035 with good behavior.

Not the same thing as Trump at all.

In the Trump case, the state of New York has taken the rather novel position that you have to report the same valuation for property taxes as you do to mortgage lenders, which has never been the case before. Lenders actually do their own appraisals as well to decide what a property is worth. Nobody was defrauded in the Trump case. In particular, he didn't make up or lie about income, which is what most mortgage fraud is.

It is not just a mortgage document issue. It is COVID relief money fraud, she made a withdrawal from her public pension fund because of claimed loss of income due to COVID.

Only there was not any, and it was not true.

Should we expect better from those who we entrust with government office? And a lawyer? She is the progressive poster child right now, and I suspect the machine sees her as a future governor.

I agree that a government official (particularly one who is a lawyer) should be held to a very high standard. In contrast, Trump was a private citizen when these alleged offences occurred.

I would say I've always found it strange that your mortgage lender and your county auditor don't have to agree on the price of a property - but that is simply how it is done in America. Your mortgage lenders wants to find the highest price possible so they can lend you even more money (and charge you even more interest). Whereas you have the right to contest the value with the county auditor and make that as low as possible. It is rather ridiculous to try to prosecute just 1 person for this; if this is actually illegally, basically any of us who've bought a home are criminals.

Covid relief fraud, on the other hand, ran into many billions of dollars. Lots of PPP loans were taken out from... a business in an LLC that was formed a week prior, and then claimed a payroll of tens of thousands of dollars for just 1 employee. Some of these are finally getting prosecuted now. Not surprising at all to see a machine politician like that getting mixed up in a scandal like that.

The local federal prosecutor is using that to put gang members in jail. The new local DA, who replaced Mosby is just getting up to speed. Stay tuned. There were almost no effort to prosecute them under Mosby, she seemed to prefer chasing the police. If you look back at the “Freddy Gray” incidents, she charged the cops with Murder, got zero convictions.
