As I'm sure you are aware, exactly the same logic is being used to support lesbian pastors. How can you say here that this is a sin that would cause you to disfellowship MCUSA, when they feel "lead" by the Holy Spirit to allow it? If God calls a lesbian into any kind of ministry, who are you to say He is wrong?
If a woman had lesbian (homosexual) struggles in their thinking but did not act on these temptations, then I believe that God would use them in ministry. It might be their 'thorn in the flesh'. But this isn't what MCUSA is saying, if I understand it right. They are not recognizing lesbian (homosexual) sexual activity as sin even though the scriptures have always, from day one, regarded it as sin. It is not related to culture, it is always a sin. So, I would look for fellowship elsewhere as leaders regard for sin does matter.

The scriptures do support women in leadership roles in both OT and NT. Here is an article that gives some things to consider some of which I have mentioned before - https://www.christianbiblereference.org/faq_women.htm

But beyond this, I have personally witnessed how God works in women pastors and teachers to His glory and in furthering His Kingdom, so I don't believe what Paul said to that church in that time was meant for all believers for all time. Others, regardless of how God is working in women in leading roles today, interpret the text as a forever requirement. I believe Jesus gave instructions regarding how to live in those days with the slave system. Did He intend for this to continue or was this more a matter of what best will further His Kingdom in that era ? I believe it was the latter.

Anyway, we aren't going to all agree on this subject but I believe we should still continue to seek the Holy Spirit's guidance in our walk with the Lord.

The Synthesis Moment of the SBC
is an interesting insight into the secularization of church leadership.
What do you think about it?
