There is no googleable obituary corresponding to that name (or variations thereof) and the supposed date of death plus or minus a month or more.
Do Plain Catholics even do obituaries?
Apparently not.

Fancy Catholics sure do, and I found the whole ceremony around it quite enriching plus the atmosphere afterwards with carry-in food that was more like a party than a dirge. Reminded me a little bit of our own Mennonite/Amish type of funerals.

This is a depressing topic.
i was trying to remember when/how the news began that Max had passed.
A grandson contacted Robert/mods? Robert was waiting for an obituary. This was hard news for Robert.

Depressing because no one wants to question such somber matters.

Prayers for right thinking.

Customs vary widely, i’m not aware of any people groups who do not do obituaries as a practice.

In fact we've been considering getting a "park model" RV when it's time to set up our dawdy house and get off the road. With all those we've lost this year, it's getting to the point that there are fewer folks to visit: that and at 80 years old I need to be thinking about settling in again.
Max was 80 in 2017.
And now he is 94 in 2024?
Yea, he had his 90th birthday in April of last year.
MaxPC wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 9:01 am Additionally I will be celebrating my 90th birthday in the next month. We have a busy schedule for the next few. May you all remember Christ’s sacrifice for our sins. Amen.
Where does Max say he was 94 in 2024?

I would like to propose we may have been visited by John Titor, noted time traveller who also had a penchant for posting on Internet forums. That would explain the seeming discrepancies in timelines and ages.

Head injuries and brain tumors can cause changes in brain function.
The human brain is complex. Psychiatry is in its infancy. God alone knows in full.

Confabulation Vs. Lies

^^i’m not suggesting a guessed diagnosis! in my view, this article doesn’t match this situation.
only to reflect that there’s much to be learned about human brains.

As one multi-degreed neuro doctor once told us after my husband’s suspected diagnosis, “THERE ARE NO EXPERTS IN NEUROLOGY” -
“we’re just beginning to learn.” her humility was touching.

suspected diagnosis
we were told the diagnosis could not be confirmed before a post-mortem exam.
there are several tests. in my husband’s case, every test pointed to one diagnosis. no grey area.
this is an “educated guess”. the best available at the time.

he would forget, get confused. he didn’t lie or manipulate.
he admitted when he was wrong, he admitted he could be wrong. he appreciated help.

we are all in some description imperfection.

A head injury that converts Catholics to Baptists would be quite a thing; certainly a new frontier in Anabaptism.

i have a loved adult family member who has seemed to be a “little white lie” liar since early childhood.
nothing like this forum situation (to my knowledge). but, the comfort and enjoyment involved has puzzled me for decades.
no other known motive. just personal pleasure in tiny deceits. in this case, it’s the normal everyday way.

of course, there are many questions+conversations i don’t initiate. knowing, no matter the answer, no matter how innocuous, the answer is likely to be fictitious. pleasure in small deceits.

this is something i haven’t understood in this person for decades. it just is.

This could be the church growth breakthrough we are looking for, if we can figure out precisely which injury to inflict.
