Do LLMs know about "I" statements? Using those might make one's writing look less LLMy.

I didn't use the precise "the specific way LLMs like to use a “It isn’t X. It’s Y” pattern" either. The "just" is actually significant here. I don't know if LLMs use that or not.
How can you know if you used the LLM pattern if you don't know whether or not your pattern is the type LLM uses???
I guess that's true. But honestly, should I care? I think the sentence is well formulated, and the one thing we are not discussing is the actual content of what I wrote.

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

I'm sure I don't care and I don't know why you would care either.

Back to what I was saying:

Actively engaging your mind and your spirit is the right way to build them up. Lazy shortcuts are the way to let them weaken. I think that's true universally.

If all you want is a plausible answer, or code that runs for now, an LLM will cheerfully give it to you. If you want to really know whether the answer is true or not, and how you can tell, then you have to work harder. If you want to actually understand the code and engineer it so that you can build on it long term, you have to work harder. But it's precisely that work that engages your mind and teaches you to understand.

This isn't unique to AI, which is just one possible tool for instant, plausible answers.

"Use it or lose it." The shortcuts mean you are losing skill. Engaging your mind means you are learning. An AI can expose you to an awful lot of things to think about, but the thinking is up to you.

It's about how engaged your mind is, whether you are educating yourself or looking for an easy out. You can use AI to get smarter or dumber, and which you choose is up to you.
Did you naturally choose to use the "It's not X. It's Y" phrasing here, or did the AI suggest that?

(This is one of the most notorious AI tells, which happens with virtually every model in common use today. It seems to be a fundamental characteristic of LLMs.)
He actually said, "It's not just X, It is also Y."
