Can anyone help me better understand the theology of a group near Gary, Indiana calling themselves "Called Out Body of Christ"? They seem to be related to the Little Flock Sewing store. Where or what are their roots, and where might they be headed? In general, I would think maybe Anabaptist; but I am not at all sure.

They don't look like an actual church as they don't have a physical address anywhere on their web site. An actual church would put its street address and meeting times on its web site.

Lots of churches (including my own) don’t have a website nor put an address and times on it.

And some actual churches meet in homes, often rotating between different homes.

I guess using Ken's criteria it isn't a real church.
It's a good thing Al Gore invented the internet - apparently there were no actual churches in existence previous to that.

This could present a real challenge for any non-Internet groups; their churches will simply cease to exist in a puff of logic.ken_sylvania wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 7:46 amI guess using Ken's criteria it isn't a real church.

Including the majority of Anabaptists in North America, a “fun fact” I enjoy sharing with home-church evangelical types.eccentric_rambler wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 7:43 am And some actual churches meet in homes, often rotating between different homes.

I see that it's been about eight months since the last post here concerning Little Flock Sewing. My wife has ordered fabric from them a few times, and she's been very happy with what she received. However, we just noticed that on their website there is now a notice that Little Flock Sewing is to be no more. There is a banner on the home screen that simply says, "Shop is closing. Everything except quilt fabric is 35% off! ..."
There seems to be no explanation as to why. Does anyone understand what has happened?

If you are in need of fabric I can recommend you get in touch with The Country Store (620) 585-6601 who can take your order over the phone. They have a Telegram channel as well with their latest fabrics / sales.Donny D wrote: ↑Tue Feb 24, 2026 7:46 pm I see that it's been about eight months since the last post here concerning Little Flock Sewing. For an online shopping experience try Sandhill Fabrics: https://sandhillfabrics.com/ <- they print their own fabric. Many unique prints if you're looking for that.
This is a local place to me: https://www.thesewingcloset.com/ (however, they just get their stuff from the above stores, typically)
