What is your life?

Post by Bootstrap »

Robert's death and some events in my own life both make me think of this verse:
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
If our lives are this brief, then what really matters?

How should we live, knowing our time is so short?

What would you hold onto?
What would you let go of?
What would you change today?

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

What really matters? I think learning total submission to God. Loving God and loving others is the visible result. That is what we need to prepare for eternally.
