Your church discipline/polity/handbook?

The rules. Basically whatever your church has or whatever they chose to call it. Maybe its a mutually understood set of standards. Perhaps its a thick printed discipline.

Either way, do you feel its uniformly enforced? Do you feel there is favoritism? Maybe some things enforced harder than others? Vote and discuss.

I've only attended MC, MCUSA and CMC churches. I was never aware of any handbook of rules at any church I have ever attended.

Our write up is called a "statement of practice". It is intended to describe our practice in a general way so that anyone coming in knows what we are shooting for. Once anybody new is finished reading our statement of practice, they have a pretty good idea of whether this is something they want to shoot for, or whether it is something they want to get far away from. I like it this way. Nobody "commits to keeping the standard". We do commit ourselves to submitting to the church.

We also have a Statement of Faith and a Vision Statement. https://followersofjesus.org/about-us/

To those that voted "no rules," are there mutually understood guidelines? I'm curious how that works... ;)
