I present to you an excellent article from Mark Nisly about how Conservative Mennonites, like himself, need to take Covid-19 seriously.

Perhaps it would help to share Proverbs 22:3 as somewhat of a theme verse for this post: The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it. (ESV).

Local rumblings have it that most conservative folks are taking this serious, however, there is (and always will be) a small faction that think the business shut-downs don't apply to them and are quick to cry "religious persecution" at the drop of a hat.

I sure hope by now the debate is over as to whether to take this seriously. You guys are not quite at European levels yet but you are getting there faster than I would of thought possible a week or two ago.

I think now that our entire state is/will be on "lock down" as of this evening, I hope everyone takes this seriously. But I still see Mennonite women dragging their children into the grocery stores. I guess if they're being taught at home that counts as a field trip

Our local Giant Foods now has a security guard at the entrance. Only one shopper per cart. Otherwise, you're kindly asked to wait in the car.

Wow. So the Mennonite women need to take their kids back home? You can't leave young kids by themselves in the car.
