What does your fellowship teach about "sloth" ?
This definition below is one from our theology. Does it match yours or is it different?
Sloth is a sorrow, sadness, or aversion to the good things God offers. Rather than being joyful and zealous to obtain these gifts, the slothful person sees them as too much trouble to obtain and is averse to the changes such gifts might introduce into his life.
Not the animal, OJ

We understand it to mean lazy.

Like RZehr the first thing I think of when i hear "sloth" is lazy. But what is laziness if not a devaluing of the good things God has for us if we work for them, and an over value on my immediate ease? While God does not want us to worship work (workaholic) he did design us to subdue the earth and have dominion over every living thing. (Gen 1:28) Sounds like work to me.

That's an even better definition than I've seen in our Catechism, Elbee. Do you think that the devil uses our lazy/slothful tendencies to undermine our relationship with God?

Absolutely! Although I would be a bit careful to not give the devil credit for my being drawn away and tempted by my flesh.
Just as an example: most days I (my flesh) would rather spend an extra half hour in bed in the morning than to get up and spend that time in the Word or on my knees.

Very true. Perhaps I should say satan takes advantage of our weaknesses.
